The Apothecary's Daughter by Julie Klassen

Lillian Haswell is the daughter of an apothecary, with a photographic memory. She leaves for London with her mother's relatives and when she returns she is surprised to see that her life she left behind is in shambles. Her father has fallen ill and has let his shop go to ruin. Now she must not only restore the Haswell name and get the store back to rights, but also decide were her heart is. She faces many trials with the local doctor and the new rules constricting the apothecarys way of life.

This book was an interesting read. The plot was well layed out, since you couldn't predict what was coming next. The ending, though was a surprise. I was hoping for a different direction, but overall it is an excellent book.
